Open Road marks Alcohol Awareness Week

Open Road centres across Essex and Suffolk are busy preparing for Alcohol Awareness Week.

Visitors needing help and advice on alcohol and related problems will be welcomed and ‘signposted’ to the most appropriate type of support – either at Open Road or with one of our specialist partner agencies.

Joni Thompson, Treatment Manager for Open Road says: ‘We offer all year round support for individuals or their friends and families struggling with alcohol problems. The annual Alcohol Awareness Week campaign really helps us promote our services at a local level and helps us reach people who may not know where to look for help.’

Open Road will also be out and about, including:

On Monday, 14th November
Open Road, Lowestoft, staff and volunteers will be running an information and advice stand at the Britten Shopping Centre in the High Street with partner charity, CRI.

On 28th November
Helen Busby, Alcohol Intervention Worker will run a stall at Castle Point Council offices and will visit the local 6th Form College with young people’s charity, EYPDAS.
