Jaywick celebrate secret millionaire funding
Open Road Jaywick celebrated it’s recent funding windfall from Secret Millionaire, Adee Phelan with a special Halloween party.
Jointly hosted with local youth support charity, Inclusion Ventures, which also benefitted from Adee’s generosity, the event attracted almost 80 guests. As you’ll see from the photos, many of them rose to our Halloween theme with fabulous costumes, hairstyles and make up.
Monstrous makeovers, creepy cakes, sizzling sausages and pumpkin lanterns all added to the atmosphere. Open Road Chief Executive, Sarah Wright and Inclusions Ventures Project Manager, Sarah Hanness welcomed the gathering and stressed what a great opportunity Adee had helped make possible though his generous donations.
They also added that both organisations are keen to hear what the Jaywick people want to get from the centre on a local level. The message is simple: both Open Road and Inclusion Ventures are listening hard and plan to have the Jaywick centre open 5 days per week to support all of our clients both young and old. Our thanks to all who attended including Councillor Talbot, and colleagues from partner organisations including Team Talk, NEEDAS, TCVS, Anglian Community Enterprise, Social Work Team and Brooklands Community Centre.
