Celebrations at Harlow
Friday 27th January saw over 50 guests, staff and volunteers celebrating the opening of the latest Open Road treatment centre at Wych Elm in Harlow, Essex. We were delighted to welcome Robert Halfon, MP as guest of honour.
As well as being the local MP, Robert is also a patron of Open Road and a big supporter of the work we do. Joining Robert to help cut the ribbon and officially open the centre was our own Chair of Trustees, Robert Smith, our Chief Executive, Sarah Wright and Ben Hughes who is Strategic Manager for our commissioning partners, the Essex Drug & Alcohol Action Team.
As well as the VIPs, you'll spot in the photos some of our own Open Road staff and valued guests including Councillor Mike Garnett, Chairman of Harlow Council, Mark Munday from our new Essex partners, EYPDAS and Ricky McCarthy from TSX Art.
The Harlow centre will offer a range of treatments and services and has three dedicated treatment rooms as well as an open access reception area. The Team Room, whilst snug, provides working space for three or four staff at any one time. The centre will be open five days a week including late openings until 8.00pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
