Essex SOS Bus Driver - SOS Bus Driver
The SOS Bus helps to reduce the negative impact of excessive alcohol consumption on the night time economy and emergency services such as the East of England Ambulance Service, Accident & Emergency and Essex Police, and was recently featured in a Channel 4 documentary, Party Paramedics.
Your main responsibility will be to drive our bus into Chelmsford City Centre for 9:15pm on Friday and Saturday nights and then collect the following morning between 5am – 8am and return the bus to its storage yard. We estimate this to be around 1 hours work per drop off/collection. Once the vehicle is dropped off at its location it will be your responsibility to get yourself back to your destination.
To ensure our bus goes out into the public in pristine condition,, you will be responsible for undertaking basic vehicle maintenance checks, refuelling and cleaning. No C1/DD1/PPSV license is required as our bus is reclassified from a HGV/PPSV license and is non passenger carrying. Experience of driving a bus or large vehicle would be an advantage.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organisation and to be involved in high profile events that the SOS Bus attends such as V Festival.
This position is subject to a Disclosure Barring Service check at enhanced level.
